Congratulations to former Swiss Internee Mac Macspadden for his recent induction into the Washington Aviation Association Aviation Hall of Fame. Mac was selected for his contributions to aviation.

Information on the last reunion can be found on the reunion page. Former Swiss Internee Abraham Thompson is fighting in Federal Court to get the VA to reinstate him as a POW. Dwight Mears (grandson of internee George Mears) was unable to convince the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Manpower and Reserve Affairs that an internee of a neutral country can receive the POW Medal. Why is the application with the Army and not the Air Force? This was a mistake, as research of the original Joint Army Air Force Adjustment Regulation of 1948 reveals that the US Air Force in fact has jurisdiction.
